Paris, 22. - 24. Juni 2026: Symposium "Principles for Ethical Use of Digital Testimonies of Victims and Witnesses of Mass Violence"

Oral-History.Digital und seine Erweiterungsprojekte wurden in dieser Woche auf einem internationalen Symposium zu ethischen Fragen präsentiert. In ihrem Vortrag "Open.Oral-History: Ethical Challenges in the Curation of Sensitive Testimonies" stellte Verena Lucia Nägel das Projekt "Open.Oral-History" vor, das rechtliche und ethische Empfehlungen sowie eine Anonymisierungspipeline für audiovisuelle narrative Interviews erarbeitet. Das Symposium "Principles for Ethical Use of Digital Testimonies of Victims and Witnesses of Mass Violence" wurde vom UNESCO Chair on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights und dem George and Irina Schaeffer Center for the Study of Genocide, Human Rights and Conflict Prevention organisiert.
